ALTOONA, Pa. - The No. 11 Saint Francis bowling team shook off a sluggish start to win its final three matches of the first day of the Red Flash Invitational at Holiday Bowl in Altoona. The Red Flash currently sits in fourth place.
Head coach
Tom Falbo said that winning three of four matches on day one was important, but the team will head into tomorrow's five traditional matches with the intent of improving its pin fall.
"Today was challenging from the first match to last to find the consistency we needed to score," he said. "That starts with line play, ball selection and surface. Coach Jones and I have worked up a plan to make tomorrow a much better day. Tomorrow we will work together, and improve our ability to repeat pocket shots."
Matches against No. 14 Delaware State, No. 19 LIU-Brooklyn, Pitt-Bradford and Penn State Altoona await the Frankies tomorrow starting at 10:00 a.m. preceded by the team's Senior Recognition ceremony.
