No. 10 Bowling Goes 5-0 on Day Two at Kutztown

READING, Pa. - The 10th-ranked Saint Francis bowling team matched its 5-0 record on Saturday with another perfect slate on Sunday as it won all five of its matches to begin the season with a 10-0 record.

Freshman Samantha Knight (RIchland, Mich./Gull Lake) led the Red Flash with a 207.33 average for three games. Shelby Derr (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) completed all five games with a 189.8 average. Seniors Lindsay Corner (Drexel Hill, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and Christina Leid (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) averaged 184.2 and 18,2 respectively. Junior Ashley Howe-Yorio (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) averaged 180.4 for five games.

The Red Flashed finished third in total pinfall for the day.

"I was very pleased with our match play against two conference opponents today," Red Flash head coach Tom Falbo said. "Our returning players were steady and Samantha had a strong weekend for us. We need to rest and heal up a bit, then turn our focus on the Jersey Jambo."

The Red Flash next compete at Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick, N.J., on Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 at the New Jersey Jamboree hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University.
