READING, Pa. - The 10th-ranked Saint Francis bowling team matched its 5-0 record on Saturday with another perfect slate on Sunday as it won all five of its matches to begin the season with a 10-0 record.
Freshman
Samantha Knight (RIchland, Mich./Gull Lake) led the Red Flash with a 207.33 average for three games.
Shelby Derr (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) completed all five games with a 189.8 average. Seniors
Lindsay Corner (Drexel Hill, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) and
Christina Leid (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) averaged 184.2 and 18,2 respectively. Junior
Ashley Howe-Yorio (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) averaged 180.4 for five games.
The Red Flashed finished third in total pinfall for the day.
"I was very pleased with our match play against two conference opponents today," Red Flash head coach
Tom Falbo said. "Our returning players were steady and Samantha had a strong weekend for us. We need to rest and heal up a bit, then turn our focus on the Jersey Jambo."
The Red Flash next compete at Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick, N.J., on
Oct. 31 - Nov. 2 at the New Jersey Jamboree hosted by Fairleigh Dickinson University.
