Women’s Bball Hosts East Tennessee State on Friday

FULL PREGAME NOTES (pdf)

LORETTO, Pa. (Nov. 20, 2014)
– The Saint Francis University women's basketball team welcomes East Tennessee State on Friday evening for a 7 p.m. contest, the second of its three-game home stand.

The Red Flash is looking to recreate its result from last season when they took down the Bucs, 92-79 in Johnson City. It was one of SFU's best overall games in 2013-14 as it shot nearly 50% from the field.

Saint Francis has received plenty of offense in its two losses against Ohio State and Buffalo, largely in part to Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk), who scored 35 and 24 points, respectively. Hayward also dished out a career-high 15 assists on Tuesday evening, the mark ties for second all-time in a single game at Saint Francis.

The Red Flash defense forced 29 turnovers against Buffalo and freshman Maya Wynn (Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh) recorded five steals. The Reisterstown, Md. native has also reached double figures in both games.

SFU takes a short break for T-Givs and returns to DeGol Arena to play Canisius at 2 p.m. on Nov. 30.
