Game #4: UMES at Saint Francis

Fresh off its first November win in four seasons, the Red Flash will look to even its record when it welcomes Maryland Eastern Shore to Loretto for a 4 p.m. contest.

Inside the new-look DeGol Arena Thursday, Saint Francis downed Keystone by a 102-69 margin to win its second consecutive home opener and improve to 5-3 on its home court during the 2014 calendar year.

The Hawks have challenged themselves early on this year, taking on Virginia Tech, Villanova and VCU and coming out on the short end.  For its first win of the season UMES – which has not yet played at home this season – downed 2014 NEC Champion Mount St. Mary's, 53-41.

During its 43-year history in the Stokes Center, the Frankies have posted 324 in 544 tries.  Thursday's game marked only the tenth time that SFU hit the century mark in the building and the first time that the arena's wall were painted anything other than 'sand pebble.'

Also new to Stokes is a 21-foot wide video board – FlashVision – that now graces the west endzone wall of the facility.  The Daktronics-made board displays HD (1080i) video of both live action and prerecorded features.  The SFU Athletics Communications Office and a game-day staff of 20 are responsible for all aspects of its operation and maintenance.
