LORETTO, Pa. (Dec. 2, 2014) – After allowing some late-game heroics from Canisius on Sunday afternoon, the Saint Francis U women's basketball team is still in search of its first win of the season.
 
The Red Flash has its work cut out as they travel to Tennessee to play the No. 14 Lady Volunteers on Wednesday evening in Knoxville.
 
SFU last faced a ranked team in the previous season opener at No. 13 Penn State. Tennessee won two games in the NCAA Tournament last year before bowing out to Maryland in the regionals, it was their 33rd all-time appearance in the "Big Dance."
 
The Red Flash will need to bring its top game to Tennessee as the Volunteers hold an all-time record of 384-28 inside Thompson-Boling Arena. The Red Flash average 78.5 points per game, compared to the Lady Vols' 81.3.
 
Saint Francis returns home following this road trip for a home game on Saturday against George Mason. SFU fell to the Patriots, 97-62, in 2013-14. The Flash then hosts Bowling Green at the Cambria County War Memorial on Dec. 13.
