WYCKOFF, N.J. - The Red Flash bowling team went 1-2 on Sunday and 1-6 for the weekend to take their conference record to 7-7. The format on Sunday was total pinfall Baker after 5 games bowled.
"We had a challenging weekend like we haven't experienced in quite awhile," head coach
Tom Falbo said. "Saturday we struggled with consistency. Many times we would start strong or finish strong but needed to close more frames to improve our game scores."
Sarah Ross (Crescent, Pa./Moon Area) averaged 20.39 for 59 frames,
Taylor Forman (Boonesboro, Md./Boonesboro) averaged 18.6 for 33 completed frames,
Christina Leid (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) and
Jacqueline Ashby (Philadelphia, Pa./Philadelphia High School for Girls) both averaged 18.1 for their baker frame average, and
Lindsay Corner (Drexel Hill, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) had a strong showing in the last match averaging 22.67 for 9 completed frames.
"Our response today was strong against FDU, with the match coming down to the last frame, and the last 3 frames against LIU," Falbo said. "Credit to our opponents who bowled well in the closing frames. In our last match today we saw good scoring from a different mix of our players."
