No. 11 Bowling Moves to 7-2 at Red Flash Invite

ALTOONA, Pa. – The No. 11 Saint Francis bowling team won its first four matches of day two of the Red Flash Invitational on Saturday at Holiday Bowl before dropping its final match to No. 14 Delaware State. The Red Flash heads into Sunday's best-of-seven Baker round in fourth place with a chance to win the tournament.

"It was a better scoring day and some strong finishes by various team members to get us off to a good start," head coach Tom Falbo said. "Tomorrow starts fresh in bracket round play and a focusing only on the game at hand within each match. This group is capable of great things tomorrow."

The final round of the Red Flash Invitational begins at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Ross and Christina Leid (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) led the Red Flash with games of 217 and 191, respectively.

Leid led the Flash with a 195 and Lauren Johnson (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southeast) fired a 190 game in the win.

Johnson led the scoring for the Flash firing a 215 game, with Ross shooting a 193.

No. 14 Delaware State 920

Shelby Derr (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) and Ross led the Flash with scores of 198 and 191, respectively.
