Winners in four of its last five outings, the Saint Francis U men's basketball team looks to continue its current hot streak when it hosts Robert Morris at the Stokes Athletics Center Thursday night.
The Northeast Conference-leading Colonials defeated the Frankies, 73-68, in the teams' first meeting on Jan. 16, but required a miraculous comeback to do so. The Red Flash used a 34-11 run to go up by 11 points with under five minutes to play, however RMU scored 19 of the game's final 22 points to earn the win.
Robert Morris' scoring efforts are led by Karvel Anderson who is averaging 18.8 points per game. Anderson is a threat from long-range range, connecting on 48% (85 of 177) of shots from beyond the arc. Lucky Jones is RMU's top rebounder, pulling in 6.3 per contest.
The Red Flash is not only looking to build on its three-game home win streak, but is also looking to snap a 12-game losing streak to Robert Morris. SFU is 15-22 all-time against the Colonials in Sweet Loretto.
Saint Francis hits the road for an NEC TV game at Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
