FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)
The Frankies take a one-game respite from play at the venerable Stokes Center Saturday as they visit Fairleigh Dickinson for a nationally televised game. The 7 p.m. contest – which carries significant postseason implications – will air live on MSG and Fox College Sports Atlantic. Root Sports will carry the game on a tape delayed basis.
Adding to the hoopla, the game will be played against the backdrop of the Knights' Winter Homecoming celebration. All this in a facility that has not been kind to SFU over the years; the Flash is 13-25 all-time in Stratis Arena.
The matchup with the Knights marks only the third road game in 27 days for the Red Flash. Saint Francis had been able to find its groove at home, winning three of its last four in Loretto, but also managed to split its two road decisions during the stretch.
FDU, which is mired in a four-game slump, is in seventh place in the Northeast Conference standings – one game behind the Frankies.
Saint Francis welcomes St. Francis Brooklyn Thursday to open its final home-stand of the season.
