Saint Francis U Red Flash (9-12, 7-3) vs. Sacred Heart (10-11, 7-3)
Saturday | 1 p.m.

LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 7, 2014)
- The Saint Francis University women's basketball team welcomes Sacred Heart to Loretto for a 1 p.m. match-up on Saturday.

This is a huge game for both squads and they are tied for second place with a 7-3 record in Northeast Conference play. The Pioneers got the best of the Red Flash in the NEC opener on Jan. 4 when they won, 95-88, in Fairfield, Conn. SFU has won five straight, including its comeback win over Bryant on Monday evening.

Sacred Heart had its four game winning streak snapped by LIU Brooklyn in a game that was postponed from Feb. 3. Saint Francis lost both regular season games last season against the Pioneers, but took down SHU in the NEC Semifinals on the road.

Sacred Heart leads the all-time series between the two schools, 16-9.

This is SFU's longest winning streak since the 2010-11 season where the Flash had three separate five-game winning streaks. SFU has not beaten Sacred Heart in the regular season since the 2009-10 season, the span includes six straight contests.
