Game #23: Saint Francis at LIU Brooklyn

FULL PREGAME RELEASE (pdf)

The Red Flash concludes its two-game New York road swing with a 4:30 p.m. visit to LIU Brooklyn on Saturday.

With seven games remaining in the Northeast Conference slate, the Frankies are tied with Fairleigh Dickinson for sixth in the standings at 4-5, two games ahead of the Blackbirds.  Riding a three-game win streak, SFU was the NEC's hottest team going into Thursday's game at St. Francis Brooklyn, but ended up suffering its most lopsided setback to a league team this season (78-52).

SFU is just 2-10 away from home this season (1-3 NEC), but provided stiff competition for conference frontrunners Bryant and Robert Morris in two of those setbacks before running into a buzz saw in Brooklyn Heights.

The Red Flash hasn't pulled off a road win against the Blackbirds since the 2003-04 season.  Saint Francis has never won in what is now known as the Steinberg Wellness Center, which opened in Jan. 2006.

The Frankies welcome Robert Morris to the Stokes Center on Thursday before shipping off to Fairleigh Dickinson Saturday.
