#3 Saint Francis U Red Flash (15-16) at #1 Robert Morris Colonials (20-11)

LORETTO, Pa. (March 15, 2014) - The Saint Francis University women's basketball team will make its 16th Northeast Conference Championship game appearance in the past 21 seasons on Sunday March 16 as it makes the short trip to No. 1 Robert Morris for a 3:05 p.m. tip-off, it will be aired on ESPNU.
The Red Flash has won four games in a row and is playing some of the best basketball of the season down the stretch. Saint Francis took down No. 6 Sacred Heart in a double-overtime thriller on March 9, which also happened to be the second highest scoring game in NCAA women's basketball history. This past Wednesday, it took down No. 2 Mount St. Mary', 68-63, and it was the first game in 2013-14 where SFU scored under 78 points and won.
Robert Morris won the regular season championship and earned the No. 1 seed and home court advantage throughout the playoffs. The Colonials have taken down LIU Brooklyn and Bryant on its path to the NEC Title game

SFU and RMU split in the regular season series with each team winning on its home court. Saint Francis has not won inside the Charles L. Sewall Center since Feb. 14, 2011.
TITLE GAME HITS
- The two Keystone State NEC members are on top of the conference in titles, SFU has a league-leading 11, while RMU is second with four.
- Saint Francis is 16-of-16 when they make it to a Semifinal game, it advances to the Finals.
- The Red Flash is 11-4 in NEC Title games, and one of the 11 victories came against Robert Morris in 2005, 65-50.
- SFU's last NEC Title came in 2011, while the Colonials last crown came in 2008.
- The 16th NEC Title game appearance for Saint Francis in the past 21 seasons is a mark that ranks second in the country, only trailing UConn (20) for most conference championship game appearances.
