Flash in Second Place after Opening Round of NEC Championship

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 25, 2014)
– The Northeast Conference Women's Golf Championship is under way and after one day of competition, Saint Francis is sitting in second place.
 
The Red Flash shot a 305 in the opening round and trail only two-time defending champion LIU Brooklyn by six strokes.
 
Ann Colligan (Kittanning, Pa./Kittanning), Taylar Jaramillo (Belen, N.M./Belen), and Mallory Cortis (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) all carded opening round 75's and are tied for fourth place overall.
 
Patricia Klein (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) shot an 80 and is tied for 15th overall currently. Erica DeVal (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) posted an 82 and is tied for 23rd overall.
 
The second round of play continues at LPGA International tomorrow at 8 a.m.
