BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. (Sep. 19, 2014) - Despite nearly matching Duquesne in shots on goal, the Saint Francis U women's soccer team couldn't finish its opportunities, falling to the Dukes, 2-0, Friday afternoon at the Stokes Soccerplex.

Duquesne's Linnea Faccenda opened the scoring in the 20th minute and then added her second goal of the game in the 54th minute.

Saint Francis U senior forward Mackenzie Walter (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) led the Flash with 2 shots, both of which were on goal.

Lexie Mirenda (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) made her collegiate debut in goal for the Flash at the start of the second half with a strong showing after an early Duquesne goal.

The Dukes outshot the Flash 12-to-6 including 5-to-4 on goal.

The Flash will continue its six game homestand when they face Oakland University on Sunday at noon. The Flash defeated Oakland 3-1 on the road last year. The Golden Grizzlies were 1-7 when they entered their match against Kent State Friday afternoon.
