LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 23, 2015) – The last time Saint Francis U left Knott Arena they had come away with an upset with in the Northeast Conference Semifinals against Mount St. Mary's and were on its way to the NEC Title game for the second straight season.
The Red Flash is hoping they can rekindle some of their fortunes from the last trip to Emmitsburg and start its week four road trip in NEC play off on the right note.
Head coach
Joe Haigh has just one loss in four meetings against the Mountaineers and that came in the regular season on the road last season.
On Monday against St. Francis Brooklyn, two Red Flash secured 10 rebounds apiece in
Corissa Archer (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge) and
Hope Phillips (Marlton, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep). It was the first time all season any SFU player had double-digit rebounds in a game.
Aisha Brock (Jacksonville, Fla./Potter's House Christian Academy) was on a five-game run where she scored in double-figures, which came to an end against the Terriers on Monday.
Saint Francis will travel to Wagner (4-13, 2-4 NEC) for its next contest; the Seahawks bested SFU in the NEC Opener on Jan. 3, 76-60, inside DeGol Arena.
