LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 25, 2014) – Fresh off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, Saint Francis U looks to get back on the winning track against Wagner on Monday evening.

The Red Flash held a lead the majority of the game against the Mountaineers, but struggled in the extra period offensively and allowed The Mount to shoot 16 free throws in the five-minute span.

Saint Francis has already played Wagner, as the two teams met in the Northeast Conference opener on Jan. 3 inside DeGol Arena. The Seahawks used a 43-30 advantage in the second half to leave Loretto with a 76-60 victory. It was the first time in the last eight meetings that Wagner came away with a win over SFU.

Corissa Archer (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge) had herself a spectacular ball game against The Mount as she scored a career-high 18 points, while going 9-of-9 from the field. Cydney Smith (Port Tobacco, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) secured a career-high 10 rebounds and scored the game-tying basket at the end of regulation for the Flash.

Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk) recorded her second double-double of the year as the captain scored 11 points and dished out 10 assists. She was named a 2015 Senior CLASS Award candidate also on Friday, which gives SFU two of those in as many seasons. They were the only NEC school represented by the award.

SFU will host Fairleigh Dickinson next on Saturday for the first regular season meeting. The Flash will have already completed season series against Sacred Heart and Wagner before playing FDU once.
