LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 13, 2015) – Saint Francis U will host LIU Brooklyn on its eighth annual DelGrosso Family of Companies Think Pink Game on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Flash will auction off the game-worn jerseys following the game that tips-off at 4 p.m. All the money raised will be donated to breast cancer research.
The game is also senior day for Saint Francis, and the Flash will honor its four seniors:
Corissa Archer (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge),
Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk),
Hope Phillips (Marlton, N.J./Bishop Eustace Prep), and
Shaqeia Stokes (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods).
Hayward has had a busy couple weeks after being selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection as well as a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award. She has a chance to become SFU women's basketball's third Academic All-America selection in the past three years.
The Red Flash just played LIU Brooklyn last Saturday on the road and the Blackbirds came away with an 84-79 victory. LIU is currently tied for seventh place in the Northeast Conference with a 4-8 league record.
Saint Francis hosts NEC leader Central Connecticut on Monday night at 7 p.m.
