LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 8, 2015) – Saint Francis U will wrap up its season series with the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights on Monday evening after just playing recently on Jan. 31.
The Red Flash has dominated the all-time series between the two schools by a margin of 42-20, including seven consecutive wins before the setback just over a week ago.
FDU currently sits in the eighth and final playoff spot with a 3-7 Northeast Conference record, while SFU is in 10th place at 2-9 in league play. The last time SFU left Stratis Arena they came away with a victory and it scored over 100 points.
Against LIU on Saturday, the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District selection,
Alexa Hayward (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk), was just one point shy of reaching the 30-point plateau for the seventh time in 2014-15.
The Red Flash led at the halftime break, but struggled from the charity stripe down the stretch and could not close out the game against the Blackbirds.
Fairleigh Dickinson has lost its past two contests, both to the red-hot Robert Morris Colonials, after beating SFU at the end of January.
Following this game, Saint Francis will then host LIU Brooklyn for its annual 'Think Pink' game inside DeGol Arena.
