Women's Soccer Welcomes Loyola (Md.) Friday

The Saint Francis women's soccer team returns home for its first regular season home match of the 2015 season. Saint Francis hosts Loyola (Md.) at 4 p.m. Friday. The Red Flash looks for its first victory of the season after a couple of tough losses on the road at the Loyola Invitational in Chicago. Against Loyola Chicago, the Flash fell, 2-0. On Sunday, SFU held its own during the first half with No. 19 DePaul, but the Blue Demons used a three-goal spurt midway through the first half to go on to a 5-0 win.

Loyola (Md.) comes to Loretto winless in its first four matches. The Greyhounds lost at Temple last Friday before falling to Cornell on Sunday. The Greyhounds lone goal this season came in a double overtime loss at home to Delaware in the team's season opener.

Allison LaDuke (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) picked up where she left off in the 2014 season, when she was named to the All-NEC Rookie Team. LaDuke scored in the first half of the team's first game against Pittsburgh. SFU went on to tie the Panthers during the Steel City Classic.

KUNZE OFF TO HOT START

Senior goalkeeper Romina Kunze (Frankfurt, Germany/Carl-von-Weinberg-Schule) is off to a great start in 2015. Kunze opened the season with a 26-save performance as the Red Flash earned a draw against Pittsburgh. Kunze finished that weekend at the Steel City Classic with 38 saves in two matches. Those performances earned her the NEC Defensive Player of the Week award.

After action last weekend at the Loyola Invitational, Kunze is the national leader with 57 saves in four games.
