Flash Set To Take on Golden Eagles Tuesday Night

MILWAUKEE, WI- Saint Francis continues their trek through Wisconsin as they take on the Marquette Golden Eagles tomorrow night at the Al McGuire Center at 7 p.m. Central 8 p.m. Eastern. 

ABOUT THE FLASH
Saint Francis is coming off a big 103-100 victory over Wisconsin on Sunday evening. The victory is the first win for the Red Flash over a "Power-5" conference team since December 1 of 2010 when Saint Francis defeated Pittsburgh 85-70. Katie Reese (Boonton Township, N.J./Mountain Lakes (Manhattan)) was named NEC and College Sports Madness Player of the Week after scoring 27 points and dishing out 7 assists in the victory. SFU put four players in double figures in the victory, led by Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) who had 29 points. The SFU offense has been on point to start the season. The Red Flash also went for 110 points in their exhibition win. Defensively, SFU forced Wisconsin into 25 turnovers which the Flash turned into 29 points. 

ABOUT MARQUETTE 
Picked third in the Big East, Marquette trounced Longwood 87-37 in their season opener. They held the Lancers to just two second quarter points and had a 26-0 run in the first half to put the game well out of reach. The Golden Eagles are paced by reigning Big East Freshman of the Year Allazia Blockton, who was named pre-season All-Big East. The sophomore had 19 in the victory over Longwood. Erike Davenport had 18 points and 10 boards to lead the Eagles on the glass. Marquette also forced 28 turnovers and held Longwood to just 25 percent shooting. 

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the third meeting between the schools, with each winning once and all of them taking place in Milwaukee. Marquette got the better of the Red Flash on November 14, 2009 in a 74-38 triumph in Milwaukee. The Flash earned a 64-62 win on November 30, 2002.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Red Flash will open up their home slate this Saturday when they take on Columbia. Tip time from DeGol Arena is set for 4 p.m.
