CONWAY, S.C.- Saint Francis women's basketball opens up their road trip with the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina on Monday Night.

This will be the third-straight season these two teams have met and the second in South Carolina. The Red Flash scored a season-high 106 points last season in a 106-74 win in Loretto last November. These two teams met nearly two years ago to the date (12/21/14) at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center with the Red Flash earning a hard-fought 75-72 win. This will be the first meeting between the teams at the HTC Center.

ABOUT THE FLASH
This will be the first game for the Flash since December 3rd, a 69-68 setback for SFU at Youngstown State. Ace Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor (Maryland)) continued her torrid start to the season, posting a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds. However, Saint Francis hit just 11 of 40 from three (27%) and battled foul trouble all game long in the loss. YSU also owned a 48-31 rebounding edge, but that only led to a 9-6 advantage for the Penguins on second-chance points. Through six games this season, the Flash have the top-two scorers in the Northeast Conference in Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) (18.7) and Harrison (17.3), Harrison also leads the NEC in rebounding with an even 10 per game. Katie Reese (Boonton Township, N.J./Mountain Lakes (Manhattan)) is second in the NEC in assists, at just over four per contest. It will be a contrast of offensive styles on Monday as SFU is averaging 11 threes made per contest while Coastal is making just over three per game. The 11 threes per contest are fourth in the NCAA.

ABOUT THE CHANTICLEERS
Coastal comes into the game at 3-4 on the season after dropping a 67-62 decision to Wofford on Monday. Coastal again put four players into double figures in the loss. SFU will have to find an answer for forward Rachel Gregory who has emerged as their leading scorer at 15 points per game but averages 9 rebounds a contest as well. Like the Flash, the Chanticleers can force turnovers, forcing 19 per game. However, they can be turnover prone as well, turning it over just under 19 times per game, they had 20 in the loss to Wofford, but forced 21. Coastal is a strong rebounding team, averaging nearly 43 per game, including 18 on the offensive end. They had a 15-6 advantage in second-chance points against the Terriers.
