Flash Prepare to Take on #19 South Florida on Wednesday

Saint Francis is set for game two of their five-game road trip as they travel to Tampa to take on the #19 South Florida Bulls in the Sun Dome. 

ABOUT THE FLASH
Saint Francis turned up the defense in their 70-59 win over Coastal Carolina. SFU held the Chanticleers to just five points in the second quarter and 29 percent shooting for the game. The Red Flash ripped off a 12-0 run during that quarter as they forced 15 consecutive missed shots out of Coastal. Maya Wynn (Reisterstown, Md./McDonogh) had 11 of her team-high 18 points in the first quarter to jumpstart the Flash, who led by as many as 26 on Monday. Ace Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor (Maryland)) had her third double-double in her last four games with 16 points and a career-high 17 rebounds. SFU ripped down 47 rebounds to earn the edge on the glass and improved to 2-0 on the year when out rebounding their opponent. The victory evened the Flash's road record at 2-2 and snapped a two-game losing streak

TOP-TEN
Through seven games, the Flash rank in the top ten nationally in three categories. SFU is eighth in three-point defense, holding opponents to just 23.5 percent from deep, they are seventh in free throw shooting, hitting 79.8 percent of their freebies and their 10.4 threes made per game are fourth in the NCAA. Individually, Ace Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor (Maryland)) is fourth in the nation with nine defensive rebounds per game and fifth with four steals per game. 

ABOUT THE BULLS
The Flash will have another opportunity to pick up the program's first win over a ranked opponent as USF comes into the game ranked 22nd in the AP poll and 19th in the Coaches' Poll.  They enter the game a perfect 7-0 and are one of 12 remaining unbeaten teams in the NCAA. Kitija Laska leads three players in double figures at 22 points per game and fuels a Bulls' offense that averages nearly 80 points per game and is out scoring opponents by an average of 25 points per game. The Bulls are holding opponents to an average of 53 points per game on just 33 percent shooting. They don't give up a lot of second chances either, ripping down nearly 45 rebounds per game and they hold a plus-15 rebound per game average over opponents. USF is averaging 10 threes a game as well, led by Laska who is hitting on a 51 percent clip this season from distance and is averaging nearly five threes a game. This will be the second meeting between the teams, USF defeated SFU on New Year's Eve 2009 86-74 in Tampa.

The Flash head further south in Florida as they travel to Boca Raton for the Florida Atlantic Holiday Tourney. First up are the Hawks of Maryland Eastern Shore. Tip time is set for around 7:30 p.m. after the game between FAU and Jackson State.
