Boca Raton, Fla.- Saint Francis enters leg three of their five-game road trip as they take on the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks in the opening round of the Florida Atlantic Holiday Tournament.

ABOUT THE FLASH
Saint Francis set school records in their loss to the #19 South Florida Bulls on Wednesday night. SFU sank a school-record 19 threes, breaking the old mark of 17 set four times and three pointers attempted in 54. Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) sank nine of those threes, setting a school record by a player and three attempted with 21. They come into the game against the Hawks at 3-5 on the season and 1-1 on their Christmas Break road trip. Thanks to their 19 made threes, Saint Francis jumped to second in the nation with 11.8 three made per game, just a notch below Sacramento State at 12.0. Defensively, SFU is 16th in the nation in blocks at just over six per game and leads the Northeast Conference in several defensive marks including: steals per game (11.4) and three point defense (27.9 percent).

ABOUT THE HAWKS
MD-ES will come into the game well rested, having last played nine days ago in a win over Mount Saint Mary's. Point guard Ciani Byrom leads the team at nearly 15 points and 6 assists per game. They were picked fourth in the MEAC in the pre-season poll and Moengaroa Subritzky was a pre-season all-conference selection and leads the team with over seven rebounds per game. The Hawks are a disciplined team, turning it over just 15 times per contest as Byrom has a near 2:1 assist to turnover ratio.  It will be strength on strength on Friday as MD-ES defends the three well, allowing teams to shoot just 28 percent from deep.

SERIES HISTORY
