LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's basketball team visits Marquette on Monday for a 7 p.m. tipoff in the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The game will be on a national broadcast on FS1, with Vince Welch on play-by-play and Dickey Simpkins on color. The game can also be found on a livestream on Fox Sports Go.
The Red Flash, led by Head Coach
Rob Krimmel, enters the game with a 3-6 record and will look to snap a four-game skid after a 75-63 setback against Stony Brook on Saturday. The Red Flash placed three players in double-figures, led by
Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.))'s 16 points.
Marquette is 7-3 this season and will compete against the Red Flash after a week off. The Golden Eagles fell 93-84 to Wisconsin on December 10.

Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)) led three Red Flash players in double-figures with 16 points on 5-of-10 shooting.

Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) grabbed 19 rebounds, an SFU and NEC season-high. That is the 11th-most rebounds in a game by any Division I player this year. It was Braxton's second game this season with 15 or more rebounds (15 vs. American on November 26.
- Saint Francis hit eight threes, marking the fifth game this year hitting eight or more threes.
SERIES HISTORY
This marks the third meeting between Saint Francis and Marquette. It is also the 60th anniversary of the last time the teams played. The Red Flash earned a 79-72 win at Marquette in 1956.
The teams also met in the National Catholic Tournament in 1952, with Saint Francis falling 75-64 on March 22 in Troy, N.Y. SFU is playing Marquette as part of the Golden Eagles' 100th year of basketball.
BRAXTON ON THE BOARDS
Guard
Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) has enjoyed an impressive freshman campaign, which includes two NEC Rookie of the Week awards. He has posted double-digit scoring efforts in six games this season and has six games with eight or more rebounds. His 19 rebounds against Stony Brook are the most by an NEC player in a game this season and the 12th-most by any Division I player. That is also the most rebounds by an NEC freshman since Central Connecticut State's Ron Robinson on February 5, 2001 vs. Mount St. Mary's. He is tied for the most rebounds per game (9.3) among NCAA freshman, only matched by UCLA's TJ Leaf. Braxton averages three more rebounds than any other freshman guard in the country.
NEBO'S BLOCK PARTY
Sophomore forward
Josh Nebo (Houston, Texas/Cypress Lakes) has become a force when it comes to protecting the rim. After posting 59 blocks as a freshman, Nebo has 13 this year, with two coming at Lehigh. His 72 career blocks are already good for sixth all-time at Saint Francis, two away from tying Reggie Lewis (1898-94) for fifth place. Nebo ranks second in the NEC with 1.4 blocks per game.
YOUTH MOVEMENT
Eleven of the eighteen players on the Saint Francis roster are freshman or sophomore eligibility. Of the 16 players who have appeared a game this year, 12 are freshmen or sophomores. Through nine games, the group has combined for 611 of the team's 702 points (87.0 percent) and 1480 of 1800 minutes (82.2 percent).
BALANCED ATTACK
Saint Francis placed four players in double figures in the 73-70 loss vs. Binghamton. The Red Flash has put at least four players in double figures in six of nine games this season. SFU had five in double figures in the opener at Saint Bonaventure.
King (13.7), Nebo (11.8), Braxton (10.7) and Blackmon (10.6) are all averaging double-figures through nine games.
BOMBS AWAY
Saint Francis hit on eight threes against NJIT and Stony Brook, nine threes against St. Bonaventure, 10 against Duquesne and 19 vs. Chatham. The Red Flash is currently 29th the nation with a 40.1 three-point percentage and leads the NEC, hitting 8.6 three-pointers per game. SFU's 19 against Chatham are the fourth-most in a Division I game this year.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN EAGLES
The Golden Eagles are 7-3 this season and will take the court for the first time in over a week after falling 93-84 against Wisconsin on December 10.
Marquette placed five players in double-figures against the Badgers, led by freshman guard Markus Howard's 22 points. Sophomore guard Haanif Cheatham and graduate student guard Katin Reinhardt each contributed 16 points, with Cheatham adding eight rebounds and Reinhardt hitting four threes. Junior guard Andrew Rowsey netted 15 points and senior Luke Fischer added 11 points.
The Golden Eagles have one of the top offenses in the nation, ranging 18th in the nation in scoring (86.4), 17th in field goal percentage (49.9), 28th in three pointers per game (9.7) and third in free-throw percentage (81.3). Senior guard Jajuan Johnson leads Marquette in scoring average (14.4) and ranks 17th in the nation in steals (24). Fischer is averaging 13.9 points, shooting an NCAA fifth-best 76.1 percent, and 6.2 rebounds. Cheatham is contributing 11.7 points per game, while freshman forward Sam Hauser is averaging 10.3 points per contest.

Saint Francis finishes non-conference play at Texas A&M on Wednesday, December 21 for an 8 p.m. tipoff on SEC Network-Plus. It marks the first meeting between the programs and SFU's first trip to Texas since 2014, when it played the University of Texas on November 25.
