COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – The Saint Francis men's basketball team meets Texas A&M on Wednesday at Reed Arena for the final game of the non-conference slate.  Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. with a broadcast on SEC Network-Plus, which is available on a livestream on WatchESPN.  On the call is Will Johnson on play-by-play and Dr. John Thornton on color.

The Red Flash, led by Head Coach Rob Krimmel, enters the game with a 3-7 record and will look to snap a five-game skid after a hard-fought 78-65 loss at Marquette on Monday.  Isaiah Blackmon (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte) and Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)) led Saint Francis with 18 points each and helped SFU close within six points with under four minutes to go.

Texas A&M, coached by Billy Kennedy, is 7-3 this season, coming off a 67-63 setback against No. 19 Arizona on Saturday in the Lone Star Shootout in Houston.

SERIES HISTORY
This marks the first meeting between the Red Flash and the Aggies, who are both finishing up the non-con portion of their schedules.  Saint Francis is 0-8 all-time against current SEC teams.  SFU last played an SEC team on December 31, 2008 when it fell 84-55 at Vanderbilt.

BRAXTON ON THE BOARDS
Braxton has enjoyed an impressive freshman campaign, which includes two NEC Rookie of the Week awards.  He has posted double-digit scoring efforts in six games this season and has six games with eight or more rebounds.  His 19 rebounds against Stony Brook are the most by an NEC player in a game this season and the 12th-most by any Division I player.  That is also the most rebounds by an NEC freshman since Central Connecticut State's Ron Robinson on February 5, 2001 vs. Mount St. Mary's.  He is second among NCAA freshmen in rebounds per game (9.1), only 0.2 rebounds behind UCLA's TJ Leaf.  Braxton averages two more rebounds than any other freshman guard in the country.

NEBO'S BLOCK PARTY
Sophomore forward Josh Nebo (Houston, Texas/Cypress Lakes) has become a force when it comes to protecting the rim.  After posting 59 blocks as a freshman, Nebo has 15 this year, with two coming at Marquette.  His 74 career blocks are already tied for fifth all-time at Saint Francis with Reggie Lewis (1898-94).  Nebo is three away from tying Lou Schmitt (1980-84) for fourth place.  Nebo leads NEC with 1.5 blocks per game.

YOUTH MOVEMENT
Eleven of the eighteen players on the Saint Francis roster are freshman or sophomore eligibility.  Of the 16 players who have appeared a game this year, 12 are freshmen or sophomores.  Through 10 games, the group has combined for 676 of the team's 767 points (88.1 percent) and 1658 of 2000 minutes (82.9 percent).  Against Marquette, a freshman or sophomore scored all 65 points and the group combined for 178 minutes.

BALANCED ATTACK
The Red Flash has put at least four players in double figures in 6 of 10 games this season.  SFU had five in double figures in the opener at Saint Bonaventure.

King (14.1), Blackmon (11.3), Nebo (11.2) and Braxton (10.3) are all averaging double-figures through 10 games.

BOMBS AWAY
Saint Francis hit 10 threes against Marquette on Monday, the third time this season hitting 10 or more threes.  SFU hit 10 against Duquesne and 19 vs. Chatham.  The Red Flash is currently 16th the nation with a 41.0 three-point percentage and leads the NEC, hitting 8.7 three-pointers per game.  SFU's 19 against Chatham are the fifth-most in a Division I game this year.

Sophomore guard Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)) leads the team with 20 threes, with senior guard Georgios Angelou (Halkida, Greece/Lykeio Kanithou) right behind with 17.  Sophomore Isaiah Blackmon (Charlotte, N.C./West Charlotte) and Scott Meredith (Pilot Mountain, N.C./Hargrave Military Academy (Va.)) have 16 and 13, respectively, while sophomore Andre Wolford (Willowick, Ohio/Saint Ignatius) has hit seven.

ABOUT THE AGGIES
The Aggies are 7-3 this season, coming off a 67-63 loss against No. 19 Arizona in the Lone Star Shootout in Houston.

Sophomore center Tyler Davis posted a double-double for the Aggies, with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  He went 9-of-15 from the field and added two assists and two blocks.  Freshman forward Robert Williams added 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting, one of four Aggies in double-figures.  Sophomore guard Admon Gilder had 13 points, while sophomore forward DJ Hogg had 10.  Texas A&M shot 44.6 percent for the game, knocking down 53.6 percent of its attempts in the second half.

Davis is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Aggies, averaging 15.4 points and 7.8 rebounds, while shooting 63.3 percent.  Gilder averages 12.6 points and 4.5 rebounds, while leading the team with 47 assists.  Hogg contributes 12.3 points per game and Williams averages 10.8 off the bench.  A&M is shooting 47.8 percent from the field on the season.
