WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Saint Francis women's bowling team started stong with two wins in a row and like yesterday took two losses that went to the last frame at the Warhawk Classic on Saturday.

Sarah Littleton (Round Lake Beach, Ill./Grayslake North) and
Ashley Howe-Yorio (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) led SFU in scoring with a 188.4 average and a 186.8 average.
Kyra Udziela (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) averaged 182.8, while
Haley Carroll (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) averaged 174 and
Hannah Schorr (White Oak, Pa./Serra Catholic) averaged 173.8 on the day.

The Red Flash opened against the Green Wave of Tulane and took charge mid-match. Udziela led the scoring with a 214 game. The Flash did enough in the 10th frame to hold off a late surge by Tulane.

Saint Francis continued their strong start by making the right move mid-match and putting distance on Adelphi in the second half of the match. Littleton and Schorr paced the Flash with games of 211 and 204.

The Flash kept ahead of the transition again to take command through eight frames. The matched turned in the ninth with SFU opening twice while SFA put doubles on the board, which ended up being the difference in the match. Carroll and Littleton led the Flash with games of 222 and 214, respectively.

In a match that produced lanes – which had both teams stumped – UWW was able to find what they were looking for in frames nine and 10. SFU was playing as far left on the lane as possible but couldn't fine the look. Howe-Yorio did however lead the Flash with a 214 game.

Udziela led the scoring for the Flash with a 214 game. Two open frames in the 10th cost the Flash the match win.

 "The underclassmen showed me a lot today. They executed well for three matches. A though pair in match four was a good learning experience and will only make them better," said head coach
Tom Falbo. "Again two losses that could have been wins. The young players just learned how they have to dig their heels for frames nine and 10."
