LORETTO, PA- Saint Francis will look for the regular-season split on Saturday when they host the defending NEC-Regular Season Champion Central Connecticut State Blue Devils at 1 p.m. in DeGol Arena.
ABOUT THE FLASHSaint Francis is coming off a heartbreaking 73-72 defeat at the hands of Fairleigh Dickinson on Monday night in New Jersey. The Flash had erased a 23-point second half deficit but two late free throws by the Knights clinched the game for FDU. SFU will look to avenge a 66-51 loss to CCSU on January 23rd in New Britain. In that contest, the Flash went cold in the fourth quarter, going 1-19 from the field en route to their lowest scoring total of the season. Despite the setback, the Flash still lead the NEC in:

>turnovers forced and margin (22.43/+2.86)
>blocks and blocks per game (98/4.7)
>steals and steals per game (249/11.9)
>three points shooting and three point defense (.327/.288)
Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) averaged 18 points and seven rebounds (setting a career-high with eight boards vs RMU) as she claimed her 11th straight NEC Rookie of the Week Award, breaking the nine-year-old record of Valerie Nanima of LIU who won 10 over the course of the 2006-07 season. Her 22.7 points per game average is eighth in the nation and tops amongst freshmen.
ABOUT CCSUThe Blue Devils have won three of their past four contests to even their NEC record at 5-5. CCSU leads the NEC in defense, holding conference foes to just 58 points per game. The Blue Devils also play at a significantly slower pace, averaging just 55 field goal attempts per game (as opposed to SFU's 70). The Flash will try to speed up CCSU by forcing turnovers, CCSU averages 16 per game. They have a balanced offense, led by Camden Musgrave who averages nearly 12 points per game, but four players average at least eight points per game. TeJahne Malone leads the team in rebounding, averaging close to eight boards per game. Malone had 15 points and 14 rebounds in the CCSU win over the Flash earlier this season.
ABOUT THE MATCHUPSaint Francis leads the all-time series 25-10. The Flash have won seven-straight at home against CCSU dating back to the 2008-09 season. SFU handed the Blue Devils one of their four NEC losses last season, 61-48 at DeGol Arena.
