Red Flash Welcome in Bryant on Monday Night

LORETTO, PA- The Saint Francis Red Flash will look to run their win streak to six games when they welcome in the Bryant Bulldogs to DeGol Arena on Monday night.
 
ABOUT THE FLASH
Saint Francis got a career-high 45 points from Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) in a key 87-81 win over Central Connecticut on Saturday afternoon in a game seen on ESPN 3. Kovatch set a school record with 16 made field goals and tied her own school record with nine made threes in the victory. The 45 points are fourth-most in the NCAA this season and in SFU history. She now leads the nation in threes made (73) and threes per game (4.06), while the Flash now lead the NCAA in made threes per game at 11.4.
 
Courtney Zezza (Plum, Pa./Plum) also had a career-day, matching her career high with 17 and setting a new career best with 11 rebounds while adding six blocks. The sophomore is now top-15 in the NCAA in blocks and blocks per game and leads the NEC in both categories.
 
The Red Flash used a 19-0 run in the second-quarter to erase an early double-digit CCSU lead. The game saw six ties and 18 lead changes. The key stretch was midway through the fourth quarter where Kovatch hit threes on three-straight possessions to key a 9-0 run the proved to be the difference. Saint Francis was out rebounded 59-40 on Saturday and Bryant leads the NEC at nearly plus-six rebounds per contest.
 
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
Bryant comes into the game at 4-3 in the Northeast Conference and 9-9 overall. They dropped a 62-46 decision at Robert Morris on Saturday. They shot just 28 percent while turning it over 28 times against the Colonials. They are allowing 22 points off turnovers on average this season while scoring just 12 off their forced turnovers. On the season, Alex Klein leads the Bulldogs in points, 16.5 per game and rebounds, 8.1, those marks place the senior second and third in the NEC, respectfully. Point guard Kierra Palmer leads the NEC in assists, dishing out 4.5 per game, however, the sophomore also turns it over nearly six times per contest.
 
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 14th meeting all time between the teams with Bryant holding a slight 7-6 edge. The Red Flash have won five of the seven meetings all-time in Loretto.
