LORETTO, PA- Saint Francis got a balanced offensive attack and swept away St. Francis of Brooklyn 25-23, 25-16, 25-21 inside DeGol Arena on Friday night.

Alexis Lamber had 13 kills to lead SFU who now sit at 11-10 on the season and 5-3 in the Northeast Conference.

FIRST SET RECAP
- The Red Flash started slow as the Terriers scored five of the first seven points
- The service game was a big reason for the slow start, SFU had three services errors and allowed an ace in the early stages
- SFBK stretched the lead out to 12-7 and forced a timeout from SFU
- A Lambert kill and Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) ace helped to pull SFU to within one at 15-14 and forced a Terrier timeout
- A pair of Lambert aces tied the match at 18
- A Kelsey Roush (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) kill put SFU up for the first time in the set
- Two more Roush kills helped put the set away for the Red Flash at 25-23

- Saint Francis used their service game to open up the second set
- Cecilia Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) had two aces in a four-point run that put SFU up 12-7
- The Red Flash pulled away from the Terriers in the second, using a pair of Lambert kills to go up by as many as eight at 20-12 and forced a SFBK timeout
- Kills from Marcinowski and Lambert finished off the set at 25-16 for the Red Flash

- Neither team could get breathing room in the third set as they split the first 20 points and neither team led by more than two
- SFU turned the tide midway through the set on Lauren Williams (Reno, Nev./Damonte Ranch)' serve as the defense forced four-straight attack errors from the Terriers
- The Red Flash broke the set open on Marcinowski's serve, winning five-straight points led by three kills from Lambert
- SFBK fought off four match points before Sophia Esposito (Coraopolis, PA/Montour (Gardner-Webb)) ended it with her fourth kill of the match
