Red Flash blowout Longwood, 83-56

BOX SCORE Farmville, Va. - Junior Isaiah Blackmon scored a season-high 18 points, sophomore Keith Braxton notched his 10th career double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds and four SFU players scored in double figures as the Saint Francis men's basketball team (1-2) rolled to an 83-56 victory at Longwood (0-3) on Saturday afternoon.

Kriimmel's Reaction

"We did a great job of defending their guards for 40 minutes," said head coach Rob Krimmel. "They are a talented team with guards who shoot the ball really well. Our defense set the tone and allowed us to get the ball off the rim, get out in transition and get some easy buckets on the other end."

Turning Point

Longwood trailed 42-37 with 17:48 to play in the second half before SFU went on its biggest run of the game. A Blackon layup in transition ignited a 12-0 run as the Red Flash stretched its lead to 54-37. Junior Jamaal King hit two of his team-high three three-pointers during the run.
