Scott Meredith (Pilot Mountain, N.C./Hargrave Military Academy (Va.)) set DeGol Arena on fire on Monday making seven of eight three-pointers en route to a career-high 21 points as the Saint Francis men's basketball team (5-5) scored a season-high 113 points in a 113-77 win over DIII Bethany.

"These late December games before Christmas break are always tricky as guys are coming off studying for their finals," said head coach
Rob Krimmel. "Other than a few lapses in the first half, I thought our guys played hard. When Scott and Andre get going like they did tonight we are very tough to beat."
Turning Point
Bethany's Chaice Truex opened the second half with a three-pointer to pull the Bison within 11 at 55-44 but the Red Flash connected on nine second-half three-pointers, five from Meredith and two from junior
Andre Wolford (Willowick, Ohio/Saint Ignatius), to pull away in the second half.

- For the fourth time this season the Red Flash eclipsed 50.0% from the field in both halves, going 19-31 (61.3%) in the first half, 20-40 (50.0%), in the second half, and 39-71 (54.9%) overall.
- Bethany finished the game 28-74 (37.8%) from the field and 11-32 (34.4%) from three. SFU finished 14-27 (51.9%) from behind the arc.
- Saint Francis went to the line a season-high 35 times, the most since attempting 36 free throws vs. Westminster on November 11, 2015, converting 21 (60.0%). Bethany made 10 of its 16 free throws (62.5%).
- Rebounds were 49-35 for Saint Francis. Sophomore Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) led the way with 11 rebounds, his fifth game with 10 or more rebounds on the season.
- The Red Flash doubled up on the Bison on points in the paint, 40-20.
- Points off turnovers were 24-9 in SFU's favor and fast break points were 26-5 for the Red Flash.
Notes
- Saint Francis's 113 points were its most since scoring 119 vs. Chatham on Nov. 19, 2016.
- Meredith's 21 points came in just 10 minutes of action.
- Braxton notched 16 points and five assists to go along with his 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season and the 14th of his career.
- Wolford, who entered the game fourth in the country in 3 PT FG% at 54.3%, knocked down 4-of-8 threes for 16 points.
- Junior Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)), sophomore Deivydas Kuzavas and freshman Mark Flagg (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) were the other players to score in double figures, all finishing with 10 points.
- Senior Malik Harmon (Queens, N.Y./Christ the King) was fantastic running the offense, finishing with a season-high eight assists to just one turnover in 18 minutes. The Red Flash recorded 24 assists for the game, its most all season.
- Sophomore Randall Gaskins Jr. pulled down a career-best eight rebounds.
- Celebrating his birthday, freshman Markus Vallien (Houston, Texas/St. Pius X) netted a career-high six points in nine minutes.
- Junior Jordan Forehand (Bridgewater, N.J./IMG Academy (Fla.)) added a career-best five points.
