LONG BEACH, CA- The Saint Francis University Red Flash will face their toughest test of their California trip when they take on the #15 49ers from Long Beach State University tonight at 10 pm eastern. 

ABOUT THE RED FLASH
The Red Flash look to snap a two-game losing streak against the 49ers. They dropped a 17-11 decision to D-III #3 LaVerne on Tuesday afternoon. Kelly Fehr (Erie, Pa/Villa Maria Academy) led the offense with her second hat trick in three matches. Emily Wickenheiser (Mechanicsburg, Pa/Cumberland Valley) had four goals and now has 41 on the season, good for second in the NCAA. Saint Francis scored on four power-play opportunities but had no answer for the Leopards' power-play attack. LaVerne cashed in on seven of 11 opportunities. LaVerne also out shot SFU 29-18 in the match. 

ABOUT THE 49ers
Long Beach comes into tonight's match at 6-6 on the season and ranked 15th in the latest top-25. Each one of their six losses has come to an opponent ranked inside the top 10 and have a win over #10 San Jose State so far this season. Alexandra Massier leads the offense with 20 goals and is coming off a four-game weekend where she led the 49ers with eight goals. Eirini Patras is the starter in goal and holds a 9.02 goals against average through 12 games this season.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Red Flash will wrap up their Spring Break trip with the Claremont Convergence on Friday and Saturday. First up are the D-III #1 Poets of Whittier College on Friday. Opening sprint is set for 3:30 p.m. eastern.
