ANNAPOLIS, MD- The Red Flash picked up their first win of the season on Saturday evening, sweeping the Akron Zips 25-17, 25-21, 25-21 in their final of the Kristen Dickmann Invite hosted by Navy. Â Â

KEY SET MOMENTS
- The Red Flash grabbed an early 4-1 lead and never let up in the first set, never leading by less than three, Kelsey Roush (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) had eight of her kills in the first set
- Saint Francis chipped away at a 5-0 Akron lead in the second to tie it at 12
- SFU won four-of-five points to break open at 17-17 tie, forcing Akron into three errors in the stretch
- In the third set, SFU ripped off five straight points to lead 12-7 thanks to a pair of Roush/Esposito blocks
- SFU put the match away, winning three-straight points to break a 19-19 tie
