PHILADELPHIA, PA- The Saint Francis Red Flash closed out the Crosstown Invite in fine fashion, sweeping the Lafayette Leopards, 25-18, 25-11, 25-20 to end the weekend with a 2-1 mark.

"We bounced back nicely from last night's setback," McMullen said. "I think we came in very focused and aggressive and we cleaned up our block and serve receive, that made a big difference."

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Red Flash were firing on all cylinders offensively, hitting .354 as a team
- Emily Marcinowski (Strongsville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) led the way with 12 kills and 9 digs, hitting .526 on the day
- SFU had a balanced offense with four players recording at least nine kills
- Alexis Lambert (McKinney, Tx./McKinney-Boyd) had a pair of SFU's five aces on the day
- Christa White (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) had two solo and two assisted blocks to help lead the defense

- SFU raced out to a 5-0 lead as four different players recorded a kill
- The Red Flash led by as many as 10 at 13-3 before a Lafayette comeback
- The Leopards got as close as 18-17 but SFU won seven of the final eight points of the set
 KEY SECOND SET MOMENTS

- Saint Francis broke open a back-and-forth start to the second set by winning four of five points to lead 14-8, Christa White (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) had a kill and a block in the run
- SFU closed the set on a 11-3 run to win 25-11, Lambert had three kills and two aces in the run
- SFU held Lafayette to a .056 hitting percentage in the second
 KEY THIRD SET MOMENTS

- After an early SFU run, Lafayette reeled off six-straight points to lead 9-6
- SFU won six-of-seven points midway through the set to flip the momentum to SFU at 15-13, Roush and Marcinowski had a block and a kill in the rally
- The Red Flash would never trail again, a kill and an ace from Roush closed out the match

The Red Flash evened up their record at 3-3 as they welcome in Duquesne for the home opener on Tuesday. First serve from DeGol Arena is set for 6 p.m.
