Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's basketball team (12-9, 6-4 NEC) plays its second nationally-televised game in the last six days when it host Fairleigh Dickinson (7-14, 4-6 NEC) on Thursday at 6:05 p.m. Saint Francis then returns to Knott Arena, site of last year's NEC Final, for its second game of the season vs. Mount St. Mary's (12-11, 6-4 NEC).

The Knights have won two of their last three games but will be without leading scorer Darian Anderson (14.1 ppg) who is lost for the season. That didn't stop them from defeating Bryant 89-78 last time out behind 21 points from Darnell Edge and 20 from Jahlil Jenkins. Mike Holloway will be the leading scorer and rebounder on the floor for the Knights Thursday at 13.8 ppg and 7.1 rpg. Edge averages 13.1 ppg and is the league's top free throw shooter at 93.9%. The Mountaineers and Red Flash sit in a three-way tie for third place entering the week. Junior Robinson, the leading scorer in the NEC at 22.0 ppg, got the best of Saint Francis in the first meeting, notching 20 points and 10 assists. The Red Flash count on energy and scoring production from
Jamaal King (Salisbury, Md./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)). The junior guard is second in the conference in scoring during conference play and has scored 20 or more points in seven of 10 games. When he hits 20 or more points in conference, SFU is 6-1. The Red Flash are 0-3 when he has been held under 20.
BREAKING THE SEAL
The Red Flash came out of a shooting slump on Sunday, making 10-of-25 threes, its most since making 12 vs. Bryant on Dec. 31. It was also just the second time in conference play that SFU has shot it at a clip 40% or higher. The Red Flash made 12-of-21 vs. Bryant.
