LORETTO, PA- The Red Flash will look to improve to 4-0 in the Northeast Conference as they welcome in the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds to DeGol Arena for a 6 p.m. tip-off on Monday night.

ABOUT THE RED FLASH
Behind a season-high 39 points from Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg), the Red Flash held off a pesky St. Francis Brooklyn squad on Saturday in a 90-75 victory. Kovatch bested her own school record by draining 10 threes in the contest and the junior has hit at least five threes in each of the three conference games. Defensively, Courtney Zezza (Plum, Pa./Plum) led the block party, tying her personal-best with eight blocks as the team posted 12 blocks, the second-most in school history.

SFU has scored at least 80 points in each of the three NEC victories, but it's been the defense that has fueled the offense. Saint Francis has held NEC foes to an average of 35 percent shooting and just 60 points per game.  The Red Flash have forced an average of 23 turnovers in NEC play, paced by an average of 16 steals a contest, leading to an average of 26 points per game off turnovers. Ace Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor (Maryland)) had six of the team's 18 steals on Saturday. They'll look to turnover a Blackbird squad that averages 17 turnovers per game.

ABOUT LIU
The Blackbirds were picked ninth in the Northeast Conference and come into Monday's match-up at 1-1 in the NEC and 5-8 overall. On Saturday, they lost a tough 60-53 contest at Robert Morris. LIU battled back from a 17-3 deficit to take a 25-24 lead in the second half. Denisha Petty-Evans had 16 points to lead the team, matching her season average, a mark that's good for third in the NEC. The Blackbirds also sport one of the NEC's best rebounders in Deangelique Waithe who averages nine rebounds per game. She had 10 points and 14 rebounds against the Colonials on Saturday. LIU relies heavily on their starting five, as each player averages at least 28 minutes per game, a number that has increased in NEC play.
