Loretto, Pa.- After winning a close conference match on Sunday, the Saint Francis men's soccer team (6-3-2, 2-0-1 NEC) heads back on the road to take on conference opponent Fairleigh Dickinson (4-5-3, 1-1-1 NEC) on Friday Oct 9, at 7 p.m.

About the Knights
The Knights currently ride into Friday's matchup with records of 4-5-3 overall and 1-1-1 in NEC conference play. Last weekend, the Knights split two conference games dropping Friday's match 1-0 to Bryant and taking a 2-1 victory over Central Connecticut State on Saturday. Despite having some struggles in the goal scoring department, the Knights continue to boast one of the most aggressive attacks in the NEC, ranking first in the NEC in shots per game at 13.67.

Senior forward Ahu Obhakhan has played a vital role in the Knights aggressive attack by leading the team in goals (6), points (12) and game winning goals (2). He is currently tied in first in the NEC in total goals and goals per game. Sophomore Jacob Labovitz also contributes to the FDU offense by placing second in the conference with 36 shots and a 3.37 shots per game average.

Series History
Fairleigh Dickinson currently holds a 7-20-4 overall record against the Red Flash. The Knights edged the Red Flash in Loretto last season 2-1 in double overtime. Saint Francis will look for revenge on Friday.

Last Time Out
The Red Flash pulled out a close one on Sunday afternoon against Mount St. Mary's by a final score of 3-2. Despite both teams getting agitated, the Red Flash managed to keep their composure and battle throughout the whole match. Outshooting the Mountaineers 18-12, three SFU players knocked in a goal including junior midfielder Jacob Gratzer (Olmsted Falls, OH/St. Edward's) who connected on his first goal of the season and second of his career. Freshman Alex Morgret (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) made a handful of incredible saves during crunch time that would have possibly sent the match into overtime.

Stepping Up
Saint Francis has dealt with some bumps and bruises throughout the season as couple players went down with injuries. With conference play in full swing, 'The next man up' has played a big factor in the Red Flash's 2-0-1 record. Freshman Colin Serredszum (Montpellier, France) and Ryan Berhorst (Imperial, Mo./Seckman) have played huge roles on the offensive and defensive sides of the field. Sophomore Kevin Smolyn (Holland, Pa./Germantown Academy) has also stepped up in his role as a midfielder by scoring two goals so far this season. In order to continue the surge towards postseason soccer, the Red Flash will have to stay focus and perform as a unit.
