Loretto, Pa.- The Saint Francis men's soccer team (9-3-3, 5-0-2) concludes conference play this weekend as it travels to Moon Township to take on Robert Morris (5-10-1, 3-4 NEC) on Friday at 1 p.m.

Scouting Robert Morris
RMU comes into Friday's match on a one-game winning streak, winning its last matchup against Mount St. Mary's (2-1) in the closing minutes.  At 5-10-1 overall and 3-4 in the NEC, the Colonials still have a chance to capture the fourth spot in the NEC playoffs and is tied for fifth with St. Francis Brooklyn at nine points. Senior forward Zac Sherman leads RMU with five goals and 14 points on the season. Goalkeeper Winter Fondi has posted four cleansheets on the season and ranks fourth in the NEC in saves with 58.

Series History
The Colonials hold a 15-17-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Red Flash. Last time out, SFU edged the Colonials at home 4-1 courtesy of three goals from current Red Flash players. Mario and Nicco Mastrangleo scored two goals as Lucas Rosa (Atibaia Brazil/COC Atibaia) secured the game with a late goal in the 86th minute. SFU currently holds a two-game winning streak at Robert Morris.

Last Time Out
SFU closed out its final regular season home schedule with a 4-2 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. Fighting for home field in the NEC playoffs, the Red Flash showed extreme force on the offensive side as all three seniors contributed a goal. Senior Nicco Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) knocked in two goals as he was assisted by sophomore Christian Kirchhoff (Aarhaus, Denmark) on both. Senior Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) scored his ninth goal of the season as he volleyed a cross from Kirchhoff from the near post. Senior Eric Ganime (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil/Colegio Icaro) locked in the win with a header in the 37th minute to put SFU up with a 4-1 cushion.

Playoff Picture
With the final regular-season match upon us, the Red Flash has already clinched its spot in the NEC Tournament for the ninth time in program history. As it currently stands, LIU Brooklyn will be the host for the conference tournament as SFU sits just one point behind the Blackbirds. If the Red Flash wins against Robert Morris and LIU Brooklyn loses or draws, SFU would secure the number one-seed and the bid to host the tournament. Saint Francis would also host with a draw and LIU Brooklyn loss.

Conference Leader
Mario Mastrangelo (Venetia, Pa/Peters Township) looks to close out his senior campaign on top in the conference statistics. His goal against St Francis Brooklyn puts the senior ahead in the conference with nine goals, 24 points, and a 0.64 goals per game average. If all plays out, this will be the second consecutive year Mario would lead the NEC in those respective categories.
