LORETTO, PA- The Red Flash honored their senior class in a pre-game ceremony and gave them a proper send off with a three-set victory over the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights on Saturday.

FIRST SET RECAP
- Christa White (Rochester, N.Y./Spencerport) played in her first set all season, ripping an ace on her first serve and running off five-straight points
- SFU led 9-1 after the run, forcing an FDU timeout
- A Madi Tyus (Plano, TX/Bishop Lynch) kill got the freshman on serve and she responded with three aces as part of another SFU run that forced another FDU timeout
- Elise Dumouchelle (Ashburn, Va./Broad Run) had four kills in her first set as an outside hitter in 2018
- SFU had four aces in the first set and held FDU to a .000 hitting percentage in a 25-6 set one win

SECOND SET RECAP
- White continued her strong service game with a 3-0 run to get SFU out to a quick 5-2 lead
- FDU would rally back to tie the set at six, but Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) had two kills and a block during a run that put SFU up 11-7
- Again, FDU would battle back, getting a pair of aces as part of a run that pulled the Knights to within one at 14-13
- Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) got hot midway through the set, getting four kills and using another White service run to go up 19-14
- The freshman started with 10 kills on 11 swings to lead the SFU offense
- Alexis Lambert (McKinney, Tx./McKinney-Boyd) had a pair of kills and Jess Barrett (Broadview Heights, OH/North Royalton) ended the set with an ace as SFU closed on a 4-0 run to take set two 25-17

THIRD SET RECAP
- A pair of Dumouchelle kills paced the SFU offense early as they took an early 6-3 lead
- The teams traded points until a pair of Tyus kills opened up a five-point lead for the Red Flash
- FDU would rally back, pulling within one at 11-10 after a pair of kills and a combo block
- Alexis Lambert (McKinney, Tx./McKinney-Boyd) would get a pair of kills and Sophia Esposito (Coraopolis, PA/Montour (Gardner-Webb)) added a third as FDU took a timeout after a 3-0 run made it 14-10 SFU
- Out of the timeout, the Red Flash continued their run, taking advantage of FDU errors and timely kills to force the Knights' final timeout at 20-11 SFU
- Tyus would pick up her 10th kill and secure her 17th double-double of the season to end a three-point FDU run and put SFU on the brink of the sweep
- Nicole Adams (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa East) hammered home an overpass to secure set three at 25-18

The Red Flash return their top three attackers and their top four in terms of digs as well as five of the primary starters as they look forward to the 2019 season.
