Red Flash Host Seton Hill for Education Day Tuesday

Loretto, PA - Saint Francis women's basketball (0-3) looks for its first win of the young season when it hosts Seton Hill for Education Day on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Scouting Seton Hill
Seton Hill is 2-1 on the year following a 64-53 win over Malone on Saturday. The Griffins previously fell to Concord 81-73 on Nov. 10 and opened the season with an 84-71 win over Fairmont State on Nov. 9. Cheyenne Trest leads the team in scoring with 15.0 points per game, while Megan Marecic is averaging 13.7 ppg. Hannah Laslo paces the Griffins in rebounding with 8.3 boards per contest, while Courtney Cecere is averaging 6.3 rpg. Trest leads the team with 4.0 assists per clip, while Cecere is averaging 3.0 apg.

In the last time out, Seton Hill held Malone to just 22 second-half points as the Griffins earned a win over the Pioneers in Canton, Ohio. The Griffins defense held Malone to just 25.0% (8-for-32) from the floor in the second half. SHU shot 39.6% (21-for-53) from the field for the game. Trest led the team with 15 points and six rebounds. Marecic was the only other player in double-figures with ten points. Tiana Stewart and Lexi Civittolo had nine and eight points, respectively.

Robinson-Fruchtl Goes for No. 100
Saint Francis Interim Head Coach Susan Robinson-Fruchtl will be going for win No. 100 of her ten-year head coaching career against Seton Hill on Tuesday. Robinson-Fruchtl currently has a 99-178 all-time coaching record. She is in her sixth year at the helm at Saint Francis and also served four years as head coach at Providence.

Draining it from Downtown
Saint Francis has been scoring from behind the three-point arc in droves as the Red Flash are averaging an NEC best 11.0 treys per game. Kovatch is pacing SFU with 3.0 triples a clip, while Zezza is knocking down 2.0 per outing.

Blocking the Ball Away
Saint Francis has stepped up to turn shots away as the Red Flash are tied for first in the NEC with Fairleigh Dickinson with 5.3 blocks per game. Zezza leads the league with 3.3 rejections per contest, which ranks tied for eighth in the country.

Facing the Griffins
Tuesday's game will be the 21st meeting all-time between the Red Flash and the Griffins. Saint Francis leads the series 15-5 and has won the last four meetings between the two squads, including a 103-71 victory last season on Nov. 21, 2017.
