Bloomsburg went 15-12 last season and is off to a 1-1 start to the 2018-19 campaign. Ky Mauras, Bloomsburg's leading returning scorer, is averaging 24.0 points per contest.
 
Strength of Schedule
 
According to the KenPom adjusted strength of schedule metric, Saint Francis has played the most difficult schedule in the country when taking into account Division I games only. Four of SFU's first five opponents are currently ranked in the AP Poll with SFU's opponents going a combined 19-5 this season.
 
Working Through a Shooting Slump
 
SFU's 37 points on Saturday were its fewest since scoring 37 at Cincinnati on Nov. 14, 2014. The Red Flash shot 25.9% from the field in the loss, its lowest field goal percentage in a game since shooting 25.0% at Wagner on February 27, 2014. Saint Francis hasn't shot 40% or higher from the field in a game this season after doing so in 26 of 31 contests last season.
 
Rebounding Improvement
 
Saint Francis recorded a +2.0 rebounding margin vs. No. 13 Virginia Tech on Saturday and grabbed 16 offensive rebounds, its fourth game with 15 or more offensive rebounds. SFU ranks t-7 in all of Division I in offensive rebounds per game at 16.50 per contest.
 
Thompson the Terrific
 
Freshman Myles Thompson (Camden, N.J./Camden) was a bright spot on Saturday with 14 points and seven rebounds. Through five games, Thompson ranks third on the team in scoring (10.6 ppg) and second on the team in rebounding (5.4 rpg). It's the highest scoring average by an SFU freshman since Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./Delsea) averaged 12.6 ppg through his first five collegiate games to open the 2016-17 season.
