Waco, Texas – The Saint Francis women's basketball team (0-2) was unable to overcome a talented fourth-ranked Baylor squad as the Red Flash dropped a 116-58 decision to the Lady Bears on Thursday at the Ferrell Center.
Jess Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) paced SFU with 15 points, while
Courtney Zezza (Plum, Pa./Plum) added 14 points and four blocks.
Haigh's Reaction
"It's one of toughest matchups in the country going against a top-ranked team like this," Head Coach
Joe Haigh said. "The thing that I was happy about was we kind of loosened up some in the fourth quarter. Baylor has some of the best players in the world and we are not at that level. I think we played better tonight than we did at Rutgers."

- After falling behind 7-0, the Red Flash strung together a 9-0 run that was capped off with a Zezza three-pointer to put SFU ahead 9-7

- The Red Flash's 17 made three-pointers was the most ever by a Baylor opponent
- Kovatch moved into sole possession of second place on the SFU all-time scoring list with 2,185 career points. She trails Jess Zinobile by 153 points for first place all-time
