Krimmel's Reaction
"I thought this was one of our best performances of the season," said head coach
Rob Krimmel. "When we defend like that for 40 minutes and play together as a team, this is what we are capable of. I am proud of the way we shook off our performance from Thursday night and came together to get this win."
Turning Point
Saint Francis trailed 33-31 before closing the half on a 11-0 run. King led the way with 19 first-half points. The momentum carried over into the second half as the Red Flash hit 13 of its first 16 shots and built an 88-52 lead with 4:12 to play.
Inside the Box
- The Red Flash were shooting 27-of-39 (69.4%) from the field with nine minutes to play in regulation and finished the game 58.8% from the floor, its highest total since Dec. 2 at Stony Brook (60.4%). The Terriers were held to 26-of-63 (41.3%) from the field.
- Saint Francis made 9-of-19 (47.4%) three-pointers to 6-of-23 (26.1%) for the Terriers.
- The Red Flash made 21-of-29 (72.4%) free throws to 7-of-14 (50%) for Saint Francis Brooklyn.
- Saint Francis corralled 36 rebounds to 30 for St. Francis Brooklyn.

- Saint Francis improved to 8-1 when King scores 20 or more points and 6-1 when Braxton hits 20.
- In addition to King and Braxton's 20-point games, junior Andre Wolford (Willowick, Ohio/Saint Ignatius), sophomore Randall Gaskins Jr. and freshman Mark Flagg (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury) all contributed 12 points.Â
- Saint Francis's starters combined to shoot 27-of-42 (64.2%) from the field and 8-15 (53.3%) from three-point range.Â
- The Red Flash hit 90 points for the sixth time this season but just the second time in conference play. Ironically, the other also occurred vs. the Terriers on Jan. 6, a 91-87 win.
- The Red Flash moved into a four-way tie for third place and trail Mount St. Mary's by just one game in the second position.
- With the win, Krimmel passed Jim Baron for fourth place in school history in career wins with 75.
