Thrice Leaf Clover: Water Polo Plays Three Teams on St. Patrick's Day

Oneonta, N.Y.- Your Saint Francis Red Flash water polo team travels Saturday to New York for the Hartwick Invite. The Red Flash hit the pool after a needed nine-day break. Saint Francis competes against the host school, meets Siena for the third time this campaign and finishes up with Utica College.
 
Scouting Hartwick
 
The Hawks enter the weekend sporting a 16-4 record and ranked 13th in the nation. Their latest game was a defeat to No. 9 Michigan. Their team owns a multiple array of wins over ranked foes. Head coach Alan Huckins has 15 years at the helm. The Hawks have a hydra of offensive options with Zsofia Polak, Lena Kotanchyan and Tori Wilson all scoring over 50 goals. Defensively, Hartwick uses a rotation of four capable goalkeepers. Saint Francis is 0-1 all-time against the Hawks.
 
Scouting Siena
 
For the third time this season, Siena and Saint Francis meet in the pool. The Red Flash have won the two previous meetings and the squad is looking for a triple crown. The Saints are 3-12 on the season against a tough schedule. Siena sports a capable duo in Clare Bryar (41 goals) and Diana Fernandez (37 goals).
 
Scouting Utica
 
Utica travels to Oneonta with a 0-4 mark after competing at the CWPA Weekend at Connecticut College. Erin Knights enters her ninth season as the water polo head coach. Krystiana Rehrig leads the Pioneers with three goals.
