The Northeast Conference is adopting a new "pod system" for this year's tournament. The Red Flash will host Fairleigh Dickinson in the 1-8 matchup at 5pm and Sacred Heart and Bryant will meet in the 4-5 matchup following the 5pm game, a tentative start time of 8 p.m. scheduled. ABOUT THE RED FLASH
The Red Flash won a share of the regular season with Robert Morris, winning each of their final five games to finish the season at 16-2 in the NEC and 21-9 overall. By virtue of RMU and Saint Francis splitting in the regular season and other ties in the standings, RPI was used to break the tie, which Saint Francis held (currently a 119-133 advantage). SFU swept FDU this season winning 80-56 in the second game of the conference season and 80-61 on February 19th. Saint Francis has averaged over 83 points a night on offense, easily the best in the league. Pre-season All-NEC guard Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) led the league in scoring at over 26 points per NEC game and 24.0 points per game over the course of the season, a mark that is fourth in the NCAA. Red-shirt freshman Caitlyn Kroll (Bridgeport, Ohio/Bridgeport) has won six NEC Rookie of the Week awards and leads all NEC freshman at 13 points per game, she has averaged nearly 15 a night in NEC play.

Saint Francis uses their defense to fuel their offense. They are third in the NCAA in steals (390) and fourth in the NCAA in steals per game at 13.0. SFU forced 27 FDU turnovers the first time and 24 in the second meeting leading to 28 and 31 points off the turnovers, respectfully. Ace Harrison (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor (Maryland)) leads the team and is second in the NEC in steals per game with nearly three a night.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
FDU comes into the game at 15-14 overall and 7-11 in the NEC, but lost their last five games of the regular season. Amina Markovic was name pre-season All-NEC and leads the team with over 12 points per game. The Knights have a pair of sharpshooters in Madelynn Comly and Kamrin Weimer. Comly shoots over 40 percent from three and Weimer, who averages nearly three triples a night. Lauren Francillon leads the team in rebounding and blocks and is a threat on the post. She recorded a double-double the last time the two teams met.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The winners of the two quarterfinal games will meet on Thursday night in Loretto. Tip time for the semi-final is set for 7 p.m. and will air on both NEC Front Row and ESPN 3. Paul Dottino and Pam Roecker will be on the call for all three games.
