LORETTO, PA- The Red Flash welcome in Sacred Heart to DeGol Arena for a NEC Semi-Final match-up tonight at 7 inside DeGol Arena and on ESPN3 and NEC Front Row.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
The winner of today's 1 vs 4 match-up will earn the right to play for Sunday's NEC Championship game on ESPN U at 2 p.m. The winner will face the winner of LIU at Robert Morris, who will play in tonight's other semi-final.

HOW WE GOT HERE
Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) hit a NEC record 11 threes and sparked a 31-2 run in the first half as Saint Francis defeated Fairleigh Dickinson 89-70 in the NEC Quarterfinals. In the nightcap of the new "pod system" Sacred Heart got 20 points from Candice Leatherwood to defeat fifth-seeded Bryant 80-63 in the 4-5 matchup.

RECORDS FALL
In last night's 89-70 win over FDU, several SFU and NEC records fell. Individually, Jessica Kovatch (Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg) broke her own school record and broke the NEC record with 11 made threes in a game. That mark is also an NEC tournament record for threes in a tournament game. The 11 threes gave Kovatch the NEC single-season record, previously set by RMU's Sade Logan in 2008 with 126. Currently, Kovatch has 132 threes and counting, currently tops in the NCAA and currently a new NCAA record. As a team, Saint Francis hit 18 threes, breaking the old record of 16 set by Sacred Heart against St. Francis Brooklyn in the 2016 tournament.

SFU IN THE NEC TOURNAMENT
Saint Francis has a NEC record 11 tournament titles and picked up their NEC leading 45th tournament win. This is the 18th semi-final in Saint Francis history and they sit at 16-1 in those games to date. The one loss came to Sacred Heart in the 2016 tournament.
