Thousand Oaks, Calif.- Your Saint Francis Red Flash water polo team fell to California Lutheran University Regals 7-6 during a sunny California afternoon. The Red Flash attempted a late comeback but time ran out.

·         California Lutheran scored first and Argentina Bonilla (Los Angeles, Calif/Birmingham (LA Valley College)) tied it up. The Regals would score once more before the period ended.
·         The two squads traded goals in the second period as the score was 3-2 in favor of the Regals entering the third quarter.
·         Saint Francis tied the score at 3-3 on a Kelly Fehr (Erie, Pa/Villa Maria Academy) goal but with 48 seconds left in the period, California Lutheran went ahead on a sharp shot.
·         Marialena Seletopoulou (Glyfada Athens Greece/Yannopoulos School), as usual, answered with a sizzling shot to knot the score at 4-4. Both teams scored again to make it 5-5 when California Lutheran placed two shots in the net to make it a 7-5 advantage. The Red Flash scored once but time ran out.
