Loretto, Pa.- The Saint Francis men's volleyball team closes out the regular season this weekend as they host NJIT and Princeton for two EIVA conference match ups. Friday's match is slated to start at 7 p.m., while Saturday's match time is set for 4 p.m.
Saint Francis, led by
Mike Rumbaugh, enters the final weekend of the regular season with an 8-19 overall record and a 3-9 record in conference play. The Red Flash dropped two EIVA conference matches this past weekend as they fell in straight sets to George Mason on Friday night and four sets to the University of Charleston on Saturday. As it stands, Saint Francis is currently out of the contention for the EIVA conference tournament.

Saint Francis will honor the careers of
Stephen Braswell (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern),
Brandon Buck (Baden, Pa./Ambridge),
Keith Kegerreis (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg),
Joseph Wojciechowski (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe), and
Shaughn McDonald (Coraopolis, Pa./Our Lady of Sacred Heart) prior to Saturday's match against Princeton University.
Sitting on Top
Braswell and Buck currently rank in the top five in the EIVA in total kills. Buck sits in forth with 276 kills while Braswell follows in fifth with 275 kills. The duo has accounted for 551 of the teams 1040 kills. They have also amassed 1,480 of the teams 2,737 total attacks.
About the Highlanders
NJIT comes into Friday's match with a 7-16 overall record and is 6-6 in the EIVA. The Highlanders split both matches this past weekend as they took down Sacred Heart in five sets and lost to Harvard in straight sets. Alavaro Gimeno leads the way for the Highlanders offense with 278 kills, 3.31 kills per set, 101 digs and 43 service aces. He currently sits third in the conference in total kills. Defensively, Luca Berger leads the way as he contributes with 83 blocks and a 1.11 blocks per set.
About the Tigers
Princeton has an overall record of 10-14 and is currently fourth in the conference standings with a 6-6 record. The Tigers split both matches this past weekend as they lost to Harvard in a close five set match, and took down Sacred Heart in four sets. George Huhmann currently leads the EIVA and team with 330 kills and 3.51 kills per set. He also leads the team with 101 total blocks and 26 service aces. Joe Kelly has contributed to the Tigers success by dishing out 858 assists, which puts him third in the conference with a 9.41 assist per set. Greg Luck has a team-high 169 total digs.
Series History
Saint Francis trails the all-time series against Princeton 13-27. Saint Francis dropped a four game set earlier this season. SFU also trails the all-time series against NJIT, 22-26. The Red Flash won a four game set earlier this season.
