Water Polo Falls Under Bison's Hooves

Lewisburg, Pa- Your Saint Francis Red Flash water polo team lost 16-4 to Bucknell in the consolation round of the CWPA Championships.

Marialena Seletopoulou (Glyfada Athens Greece/Yannopoulos School) scored three goals to lead the team in scoring.
Saint Francis will play George Washington in the next consolation game.

Highlights

Bucknell, recovering from a heartbreaking loss to Indiana, surged out of the gate to score two quick goals. Kelly Fehr (Erie, Pa/Villa Maria Academy) answered with a tally but Bucknell again doubled up on goals to take a 4-1 lead entering the second.
Two Seletopoulou goals were not enough to stem the tide as Bucknell took an 8-3 lead into halftime.
In the third period, the Bison continued its march with five goals to earn a 13-3 advantage.
The final period saw Seletopoulou score her third goal for a hat trick but it was not enough for a rally as Bucknell finished the game ahead 16-4.

Notes

The Red Flashis now 12-18.
Kate Wilke (Burbank, Calif./Burroughs) posted nine saves.
Aimee Baur (North Wales, Pa/North Penn) was 1-3 in sprints.
