Malik Duncan (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) has received and accepted an invitation to participate in Rookie Mini-Camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The three-day camp begins on Saturday, May 12 at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. Duncan joins fellow secondary member
Delondo Boyd (Indian Head, Md./Henry E. Lackey), participating in Chicago Bears' camp, as Red Flash in NFL Rookie Mini-Camps this season.Â

Duncan, a team captain, started all 45 games during his time in Loretto. He was a Buck Buchanan Award Finalist in 2017 as one of the top defensive players in the FCS. He was named an All-American by STATS FCS, College Sports Madness, Phil Steele and HERO Sports. Duncan was a two-time All-NEC selection, earning First Team honors in 2017.

A shutdown corner, Duncan finished his Red Flash career without allowing a touchdown in 28 straight games. In 2017, he allowed only three completions against NEC opponents, with only one going for more than 10 yards.

In his Saint Francis career, Duncan recorded 147 tackles, including five for loss, 29 pass breakups, seven interceptions, two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a sack.

As a senior, Duncan collected 41 tackles, 26 coming in run support, three interceptions, four pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Duncan returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown against Lock Haven. He added an interception in the win at No. 22 Liberty and one against Central Connecticut State.Â

Duncan was a major part of a Red Flash defense that ranked among the Top 10 in the FCS in scoring defense (fifth), total defense (10th), pass defense (sixth), pass efficiency defense (third), red zone defense (fourth) and defensive touchdowns (seventh). The Red Flash forced 25 turnovers, including 14 interceptions.
